Sourced from several old vine vineyards throughout the Sierra Foothills AVA to capture the essence of various soil types, elevations, and microclimates. We compose a Zinfandel very similar to what was likely produced here during the California Gold Rush of the 1800’s. Concentrated aromas of black pepper, plum and coffee bean. Its luxe mouthfeel is a focused study of black fruit and supple tannins.

This elegant blend of 80% Zinfandel, 10% Petite Sirah, and 10% Barbera speaks to the constrained power of all four varieties. Saturated in plum and heather, it’s lushly textured on the palate, where a keen dash of white pepper adds a slight dryness to the long, blue fruit-filled finish. MERIDITH MAY
