Original Grandpère Zinfandel Tasting
Original Granpère Vineyard, also known as Vineyard 1869, is the oldest documented Zinfandel vineyard in America. In 2023, we celebrate over 153 years of Zinfandel from this acclaimed vineyard.
Still producing today, only four wineries are privileged enough to receive fruit from its old vines. Three of them are here in Amador County - including Andis Wines, Scott Harvey Wines, and Vino Noceto.

As an avid wine enthusiast and Napa frequenter, to discover such a secretive wine region inspired founder, Janis Akuna. It gave her a vision to share a different kind of experience with other wine enthusiasts.
But even more than that, it was the rural wine region of Amador County that struck her the most; reminiscent of the early days of Napa she so dearly missed.
