18 months in French Oak, 30% New Barrels
ENOR Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre
2020 Rhône-Style Blend
92 pts WE / 92 pts W&S (2019)
Spending 18 months in (30% new) French oak, this blend of 40% Syrah, 35% Grenache, and 25% Mourvèdre results in a sumptuously textured red blend. The winemaking team at Andis understands how Rhône varieties grown in the Sierra Foothills are especially expressive. It shows on the nose, which offers a concentrated aroma of dark chocolate and plum. Once again, white pepper makes its presence known, surging through dried violets and black plum. Grainy coffee-bean tannins and fennel root lead to a plush finish, luxurious and exciting.

EN OR “The Golden Opportunity” in French Working with these gorgeous vineyards and unique varietals is an honor; The wine is an homage to the soils of the Sierra Foothills AVA and this is a Golden Opportunity for us to showcase what Andis can do. This is an appealing, full body, Rhone style blend with aromas of violets, blackberry, licorice, and chocolate followed by a tighter palate with grainy tannins and high acidity.
