Spending 18 months in (30% new) French oak, this blend of 40% Syrah, 35% Grenache, and 25% Mourvèdre results in a sumptuously textured red blend. The winemaking team at Andis understands how Rhône varieties grown in the Sierra Foothills are especially expressive. It shows on the nose, which offers a concentrated aroma of dark chocolate and plum. Once again, white pepper makes its presence known, surging through dried violets and black plum. Grainy coffee-bean tannins and fennel root lead to a plush finish, luxurious and exciting.
