We seek the best vineyards in the region to create a complex red blend with a sense of place. This big, bold wine packs in massive amounts of black cherry, wood smoke and dark choco- late, supporting them with significant tannins and a full body. The blend consists of grapes grown in the Sierra Foothills AVA, before and after prohibition, that have shaped our region.

Mocha, tar and Asian spice notes accent the rich, concentrated dark chocolate, raspberry and blackberry flavors. Minerally freshness shows on the finish, with details of hot stone. Malbec, Barbera, Primitivo, Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2024.

This big, bold wine packs in massive amounts of black cherry, wood smoke and dark chocolate, supporting them with significant tannins and a full body. It is delicious now, but should drink better after 2023. JIM GORDON

Wine Access Tasting Note
A dense, deep purple dominates the glass with a kiss of pink in the edge. Expressive and seductive with plenty of dark fruit, violets, and Asian spice make it very attractive. The mouthfeel is rich and voluptuous, with superb depth and concentration. Broad-shouldered and majestic, standing tall with a beautiful tannic structure decorated by dark chocolate and dark fruit preserves, moving into a long finish. Drink now - 2026.
